Ursula Taylor Church of England Primary School
On behalf of the children, staff and Governors of our school I would like to welcome you to our school website. I hope you will find this site useful and that it answers the questions you may have about our school. Although, a website, however detailed,is never as good as seeing our school in action. We are always willing to showcase our school and welcome visitors. If you would like to know more about Ursula Taylor C of E Primary School or arrange an appointment to visit, please contact Miss Daley, our Office Manager on 01234 359128.
We are very proud of our school and all that our children achieve. The Staff and Governors take pride in providing an environment which enriches children's learning and also meets their social, emotional and pastoral needs. As a Church School we promote Christian beliefs and our ethos and environment supports the children's well being and self worth. At Ursula Taylor we believe that ensuring children's well-being and high levels of resilience, self esteem and involvement leads to our children having the ability to make great progress and achieve well. To this end, we weave values education through our curriculum and school life, as well as seeking to ensure high levels of parental engagement through positive, mutually respectful relationships.
At Ursula Taylor we want our children to enjoy coming to school, to settle in happily and to experience a sense of aspiration, achievement and independence.
Ursula Taylor C of E Primary School is an Academy which has provision for children from the age of four to eleven years old when they move into Secondary Education.. We are committed to working in partnerships with other local schools, The Diocese of St Albans and the Local Authority.
In September 2017 we will have our first cohort of Year 5 children as we have been granted permission to alter our age range to become a Primary School. This is a very exciting time for us all, we have a new block of classrooms which are the ideal learning space for our older children.
